Welcome to the Pacific Family Group!

The Pacific Family Group is comprised of parents/guardians and other family members, community members and friends of the school who wish to serve the school in a volunteer capacity. The group holds an informal meeting once a month during the school year to get to know each other, see where we can help out and support the teachers and students, meet with school administration, express concerns and kudos and discuss issues relevant to Pacific Middle School.

The Family Group is not a PTA or PTO. We are a volunteer organization which exists solely for the purpose of providing volunteer support for the school’s numerous activities and events. Some of these in the past have included health screening, picture packet/yearbook distribution, PE and athletic uniform distribution, Pi day (Math Department) and ASB events such as fundraisers and socials. 

We are also not a fundraising group for the school. Historically the Family Group has done fundraising to support Family Group activities by hosting the Scholastic Book Fair and running a concessions booth during home sporting events. These funds are used for the ever-popular 8th grade farewell party, teacher appreciation and other Parent Group activities as deemed appropriate. 

We encourage everyone to attend a meeting to see what the Family Group is all about. You do NOT have to volunteer if you come to the meetings or add your name to the email list but we appreciate all the help we can get! If you would like to volunteer or are interested in being part of the Family Group you may contact us by email pacificfamilygroup@gmail.com. By adding your name to the Family Group email list you will be informed of volunteer opportunities and activities related to the Family Group.  To volunteer at most events, a background check application is required through the Evergreen Schoold District - see link below.
